A website created for you, the cat lovers who rescue, raise, and revel in the affection and antics of these furry felines.
I hope to provide an encouraging space where the cat-loving Christian visitor (although all spiritual seekers – and even dog lovers are welcome), can find exhortation, edification, entertainment. . . comfort and community reading my cat tales.
In a world of breaking bad news, this is a place where I pray you will hear a different voice – one
of help, one of healing, one of hope. It would be my delight to lead you – like a good Seinfeld joke -
to see the world and its creator a little differently.
These stories are not meant to replace scripture, sermon, or spiritual practices; they may not even
be as healthful as “Chicken Soup for the Soul.” It is my hope that these “cat parables” share the
little truths that the Holy Spirit was generous enough to allow me to observe during the many hours
I spent caring for my cats.
I am elated that there are so many cat videos and memes on the Internet - which I hope is an
indication of the number of cat lovers out there! I hope I have found my “niche” or should I say
“colony.” But I share with you a caution regarding any “cat media.” I was sent a meme that showed
a cat peeking around the edge of a computer screen asking its caregiver, “Why are you watching cat
videos when you could be playing with me – your actual cat!”
So, as you curl up with a “kitten theologian” blog on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop,
please have a cat on your lap and a purr in your heart as you encounter my revelations of the
Ultimate Caregiver . . . the most Benevolent Master, our Protector and Provider. God.
"Hebe's Top 10 List for the Beginner Kitten Theologian"
Hi! My name is Hebe (He-bee).
In gratitude for the prayers that brought me (and my worried caregiver) through my very serious kitten health issues, I would like to share some thoughts with you - the family I've not met yet. I want to encourage you with what I call, "Hebe's Top 10 List for the Beginner Kitten Theologian"
10. Show the joy! It makes the Provider smile.
9. The most comfortable place is as close to the Source as you can get.
8. Rest. A lot. In a sunny spot. (I also think the Provider enjoys the peace and quiet.)
7. Whatever the Master is doing, be right in the middle of it - "helping."
6. "Get down!" is not a suggestion. Commandments are to be obeyed always and immediately!
5. Keep your claws in and your voice down. Others will be more willing to play with you.
4. Firm boundaries are for your own safety. You really shouldn't eat plastic wrap, chew on wires, or sleep in the shower.
3. Even if you hate getting your nails clipped, good grooming is necessary if you want to live close to the Caregiver.
2. Dirty places you can't see or worse yet, can see but not reach, can be licked with the help of others - if you can sit still for it.
1. The best place to be is always - HIGHER!

“Dear Master,
Thank you for the joy of your presence, the ability to come close to you and be in the center of it all, for rest, for your Word, for boundaries and your grooming of my character . . . for the entire family used to shape lives for the better, and for the opportunity to go higher in you. Cultivate a playful and grateful kitten attitude in my heart.
In Jesus name I pray. AMEN.”
